stripyties

frequently asked questions

What materials are used?
We use only high quality cotton fabrics. Typically the fabrics are upholstery weight rather than the weight associated with dress material and as a result the ties are hard wearing and machine-washable.

What is the style of the ties?
The ties are made with stripy and plain materials. They are narrowish, tapering slightly to a maximum width of 1.5 inches (3.8cm) and squared off at the ends. The materials used are generally 54 inches (138cm) in length and the ties have a hint of the retro 1960s about them.

What about looking after my tie?
Dry-clean the tie if you wish but the ties are machine washable. Don't go to a temperature higher than 40 centigrade. Steam iron the ties. For the best results use spray on starch when you press your tie.
