frequently asked questions
What materials are used?
We use only high quality cotton fabrics. Typically the fabrics are upholstery weight rather than the weight
associated with dress material and as a result the ties are hard wearing and machine-washable.
What is the style of the ties?
The ties are made with stripy and plain materials. They are narrowish, tapering slightly
to a maximum width of 1.5 inches (3.8cm) and squared off at the ends. The materials used are generally 54 inches
(138cm) in length and the ties have a hint of the retro 1960s about them.
What about looking after my tie?
Dry-clean the tie if you wish but the ties are machine washable. Don't go to a temperature higher than 40
centigrade. Steam iron the ties. For the best results use spray on starch when you press your tie.
How can I spread the word about stripyties?
